Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore Carson Seeman tossed a complete-game shutout to lead the Butte baseball team to a 5-0 series-opening win on Thursday afternoon.
Seeman (2-0) threw 97 pitches - 80 strikes - scattering four hits and fanning seven. The win extends the Roadrunners' winning streak to six games.
Three Butte batters tallied multi-hit games, led by sophomore Patrick Barry's first at bat triple to right center. Barry added a pair of runs, while sophomores Landon Gomes and Evan Stauch each counted a couple hits, while picking up a RBI apiece.
Butte (10-2) heads to American River for game two of the series on Friday, Feb. 17. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
