The American River College Men's Soccer program dropped back to back matches over the last week to Cabrillo College and Lake Tahoe Community College.
Against Cabrillo, the Beavers responded to an early goal by Cabrillo when Tim Cheglov scored in the 56th minute of the second half to tie the match at 1-1. Cabrillo would score in the 68th and 74th minutes to extend their lead to 3-1. A goal by Sultan Rahimi in the 78th minute would cut the lead down to 3-2, but the Beavers ran out of time and Cabrillo would ultimately defeat the Beavers 3-2.
Against Lake Tahoe, the Beavers would score early and take a 1-0 lead. However, Lake Tahoe would score the next five goals and defeat the Beavers by a final score of 5-1. With the losses the Beavers drop to 3-3-1 on the season and will prepare to host Chabot College on Friday, September 20th, at 6 PM.
