Beaver Invite Highlights

Sacramento, CA – March 1, 2025
American River College (ARC) hosted its annual Beaver Invitational Track & Field Meet on March 1, drawing top talent from across the region to its home track in Sacramento. The ARC Beavers delivered an impressive showing on both the track and, on the field, earning multiple top finishes and setting personal bests.
Men's Highlights:
- Jordan Ventura sprinted to a first-place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 10.61, securing the state A mark in the event.
- The 4x100m relay team claimed first place, claiming a state A mark in the event, showing strong form early in the season.
- Elias Weathers took first place in the High Jump with a 1.91m jump, hitting the state A mark in the event.
- Jahi Jones placed second in the Long Jump with a 6.57m jump.
- Jamin Guilbert crushed the field in the Shot Put and Discus. Throwing 16.54m in the Shot and 50.15m in the Discus, both of which are state A marks.
Women's Highlights:
- Alanna Laverty led ARC's women in the middle distance, finishing 2nd in the 1500m and 3rd in the 800m, with solid early-season marks.
- The 4x100m Relay, ran 49.27 securing a state A mark in the event.
- Emily Marchetti placed first in the Pole Vault, launching a season-best mark at 2.55m.
The Beaver Invitational served as a crucial early-season test and an opportunity for ARC athletes to showcase their hard work throughout the season thus far. Head Coach Matt Airola praised the team's effort: "We're proud of the way our athletes competed. It's great to see this level of intensity and focus on our home track."
ARC now sets its sights on the upcoming Aggie Open Meet, where the team looks to build on its momentum.
