Softball Finishes as Co-Big 8 Conference Champions After Sweeping Sierra College

The American River College Softball program just closed out conference play as Co-Big 8 Conference Champions after sweeping Sierra College on Friday.
In game one of the doubleheader, the Beavers used a strong second inning to take home the 5-2 victory. Felesha LePenske lead the Beavers with a great pitching performance, while Jill Theodorou contributed a run, two hits, and a RBI.
Game two was a high scoring thriller that saw the Beavers edge Sierra by a final score of 13-12. Lindsay Paredes led the Beavers with 3 runs, 1 hit, and 4 RBIs. While, Kaylah Adams added 2 runs, 2 hits, and 3 RBIs.
With the pair of victories, the Beavers close out conference with a final record of 15-6 and a first place tie with Modesto Junior College.
The Beavers will now await their seeding for the 3C2A playoffs which begin on Friday, May 2nd.
