American River College Athletes shine at 3C2A NorCal Championships

At the 2025 3C2A Northern California Championships held at Butte College, the American River College women's track and field team delivered several standout performances; four athletes qualifying for the State meet on May 16-17, three ARC top 10 performances, nine podium finishes, several PR's, and a team top 10 finish.
Sprint, Hurdle, Relay Highlights:
- Reyana Valentine set a new best in the 100 hurdles. She also qualified for NorCal championships in the heptathlon that was in Santa Rosa in April.
- Zoe Prince and Audrey Gordon set a personal bests in the 100m in 12.59 and 12.80.
- Lelah Felder hit the State A qualifying time on Day 1 trials and set another personal best in finals, 58.62, finishing on the podium in 6th place.
- The 4 x 400 meter relay consisting of Lelah Felder, Alanna Laverty, Isabella Leach, and Lily Harline secured a 6th place finish and a season PR, just missing a state berth.
- Kira Comfort finished 6th in the 400m hurdles in 1:05.52 placing her on the top 10 list (#9)! Kira is also #6 on the ARC all time list with her 2nd place NorCal multi performance of 4168 points.
Field Events:
- Vanessa Aguirre Sanchez qualified for the State Meet in hammer. She is currently #7 on the ARC all time list.
- Kira Comfort finished 3rd in javelin and secured a spot for the state meet.
- Emily Hansen ended the field events on day 1 in high jump with a mark of 1.45 m to tie her best mark.
Middle Distance and Distance Events:
- Anastasia Kozlowski started the day with the 3000m steeplechase with a PR in 13:02.77.
- Lily Harline stayed in the back of the entire pack in the 800m to make it an exciting race chasing everyone to take the last spot going to state meet, 4th place.
- Alana Laverty stayed with a tight pack in the 1500m to kick to a 6th place podium spot that gets her to state.
- Autumn Garcia and Morgan McKenna continued their PR streak in the 1500m in 5:13 (15th) and 5:07 (10th).
Alejandra Magana Ramirez surged in the final lap of the 5k to secure a podium finish (19:24).
