Spring 2 Sports will Compete In-District

Once Sacramento County reaches the “Red” tier, the following Late Spring sports at American River College can resume outdoor team activities and begin planning for Intra-District competition: Men’s Baseball, Women’s Softball, Men’s Golf, Men’s Track and Field, Women’s Track and Field, Men’s Swimming, Women’s Swimming, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis
Fall 2020 Academic Recap - Beavers Continue to Dominate in Classroom

Out of 474 student athletes, 266 earned a 3.0+ GPA, 113 earned a 3.5+ GPA, and 33 earned a 4.0 GPA (in 12+ units).
Update on Early Spring Sports

American River College and the rest of the Los Rios colleges have made the very difficult decision to cancel all Early Spring sports (including all sports originally scheduled to take place in Fall and Winter seasons).

With the CCCAA decision to move fall sports to the spring in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, fall sport athletes are no longer in their In-Season Intercollegiate Sport Class. To practice with their sport team, athletes must enroll in the Off Season Conditioning Sport class for their sport.
CCCAA Contingency Plan

The Board of Directors of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) overwhelmingly approved implementation of its Contingency Plan on Thursday, July 9, providing a return to intercollegiate athletics for the 2020-21 academic year that shifts all sports, including football, to the spring season.
