BEAVERS OUT-HIT MODESTO BUT FALL 4-2

The Beavers bats have come alive in the series against Modesto but the results have been the same as ARC out-hit the Pirates 12-3 on Thursday but lost the game 4-2.  Starting pitcher Tyler Quintanilla (Summit Shasta) threw well, going 7.1 innings allowing just 3 hits but two were in the bottom of the 8^th.  He did walk 4 and hit 3 batters and Modesto used a squeeze bunt to go ahead in the bottom of the 8^th.  The Beavers had runners on base in every inning but the 5^th and the 8^th but could only manage a pair of runs in the top of the 2^nd.  Sophomore C Kristoff Swanson (Del Oro) doubled for the second straight game, and four ARC hitters had multi-hit games.
