Beavers Bats Come Alive But They Fall to Cosumnes 12-5

American River College got a season high 16 hits on Tuesday at Cosumnes River College but it wasn't enough as the team could only muster 5 runs as the Hawks won going away 12-5.  Sophomore Connor Timmins (East Nicolaus) started on the mound and spotted CRC 4 runs in the first but ARC answered back with single runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings to keep the close.  Timmins settled down from there but was the recipient of some poor defense as a pair of errors in the 4th inning allowed CRC to score 3 times and go up 7-2.  The Beavers kept getting hits but not a whole lot of runs to show for it but finally got back in the game in the 7th thanks to a two run home run by Jake Morell (Whitney) and then a solo shot by DH Wyatt Bahlke (Woodcreek).  Bahlke had an RBI double in the 3rd inning.  Morell had three hits on the day for ARC, a career high for him as did SS Anthony Packard (Colfax) who had three singles.  The two teams will meet at Beaver Field on Thursday at 2:30.
