American River College got a season high 16 hits on Tuesday at Cosumnes River College but it wasn't enough as the team could only muster 5 runs as the Hawks won going away 12-5.  Sophomore Connor Timmins (East Nicolaus) started on the mound and spotted CRC 4 runs in the first but ARC answered back with single runs in the 2^nd and 3^rd innings to keep the close.  Timmins settled down from there but was the recipient of some poor defense as a pair of errors in the 4^th inning allowed CRC to score 3 times and go up 7-2.  The Beavers kept getting hits but not a whole lot of runs to show for it but finally got back in the game in the 7^th thanks to a two run home run by Jake Morell (Whitney) and then a solo shot by DH Wyatt Bahlke (Woodcreek).  Bahlke had an RBI double in the 3^rd inning.  Morell had three hits on the day for ARC, a career high for him as did SS Anthony Packard (Colfax) who had three singles.  The two teams will meet at Beaver Field on Thursday at 2:30.
