The American River College football program hosted Modesto Junior College on Staurday, October 1st.

The Beavers fell behind early, 10-0, on a 11 yard touchdown run by Aiden Taylor and a 33 yard field goal by Nathan Valdez.

The Beavers responded with a 38 yard field goal and a 48 yard field goal by Zach Schreiner, a 40 yard touchdown pass from Matt Carlisle to Grayson Barnes, a 2 yard run by Kacie Riley, and a safety to take a 22-10 lead.

Modesto would respond with 17 straight points to re-take the lead at 28-22.  However, the Beavers would put together an 11 play 75 yard drive, capped off by a 2 yard Kacie Riley touchdown run, to take a 29-28 lead.

Modesto would march down the field to set up a field goal, but would miss, giving the Beavers the victory 29-28.

The Beavers will have a bye before traveling to play Shasta College on Saturday, October 15th at 6 PM.
