Bio

Jared Brown enters his fourth season on the Beavers coaching staff as the quarterbacks coach.  Brown started his coaching career in 1997 after a successful playing career.  A native of Sacramento, Brown played at John F. Kennedy High School and Sacramento City College.  After two seasons at Sacramento City College, Brown was honored to receive a host of awards including being named JC Gridwire All-American.  An 18-2-1 record, a conference championship, and two time all-conference selection awarded Brown one of the highest honors into the Sacramento City College athletic Hall of Fame.  Brown went on the start at Quarterback at UNLV leading the Rebels to a Big West Conference championship and Las Vegas Bowl win.  Brown and his 1994 UNLV Rebel football team were inducted in the UNLV Hall of Fame in 2010.  Brown graduated from UNLV with a degree in Sociology in 1996.  After a successful collegiate playing career, Brown went on to play two seasons in the Arena Football League with the San Jose Sabercats.  

As a coach, Brown started his coaching career as the Quarterback coach at Sacramento City College in 1997.  Brown continued as the Offensive Coordinator at his alma mater thru 2001.  In 2002, Brown was named the Head Football Coach at John F. Kennedy High School.  Brown continued as the Head Coach at Kennedy High until 2007.  In addition to his time spent coaching at his alma maters Sac City College and Kennedy High School, Brown also spent several seasons as the Offensive Coordinator at Cosumnes Oaks High School.    

Coach Brown and his wife Artice have two children, Armani and Jared Jr..  Jared Jr. is a senior at California State Fullerton.  Armani is a grad student at Marshall University.  Coach Brown enjoys all things outdoors including boating and fishing.
