Beavers vs DVC

In a battle between 2 of the top 4 teams in Northern California, the Beavers traveled to Pleasant Hill to take on the Vikings from Diablo Valley College. ARC came out strong, taking all three of the doubles in convincing fashion. At #1 Seppi Capaul/Jimmy Giovannini defeated Vaughn Asuncion/Roy Eldred 8-3. At #2 Nic Atkinson/John Foote earned a late break to seal the win by a score of 8-5. At #3 TJ Aukland/Ryan Wilson posted the most lopsided victory of the doubles matches by a score of 8-2. The singles matches proved to be very competitive, with the Beavers winning 4 of the 6 contests. Highlights included Capaul at #1, rolling in the second versus Eldred after a close, hard fought first set, 7-5, 6-0. Dylan King won by the biggest margin of all of the Beaver players at #4 by a score of 6-1, 6-2. Things don't get any easier for the Beavers as they host conference perennial conference rival Santa Rosa Junior College, the #2 ranked team in Northern California, on Friday, Feb 27th.
