Beavers Beat Gladiators 9-0

The Beavers hosted NorCal #2, the Chabot Gladiators at the Freund-Donnelly courts. ARC played aggressive and attacking doubles, highlighted by wins at #1 (Micah Erwin/Ravi Nelson) by the score of 8-4, and at #2 (Zac Prince/Robin Sharma) by the score of 8-1. In the singles the Beavers had their work cut out for them. The Gladiators had very strong players at #1 (Arav Waghray) and #2 (Adam Linette). At #1 Prince pulled out a tight 3-set match against Waghray, winning the final nine points to close out the 10-point tiebreak 10-5. At #2, Erwin played tough defense and grinded for a 6-4, 7-5 win against Linette. The Beavers have a mid-season break until March 15th when they will play the Big 8 North semifinal at home against Shasta College.
