Beavers pull off the upset to win Conference
The men’s track and field team won 7 individual events and overcame a 12 point deficit to win the Big 8 Conference Championships for the 10th straight year. Winning events were Chris Buck (Shot Put, Discus and Hammer), Cristian Martinez (1500 and 800), Gulab Singh (5000) and Byron Chadwick (Steeplechase). Those multiple wins earned Chris Buck the MVP of the field events for the men. It also earned Cristian Martinez the MVP for the running events.
