Fortuna - The Beavers traveled up north to take on the best of NorCal on very hilly course and came out with a 2nd place team finish. They lost to Hartnell 33-39 over the 4 mile course. Cristian Martinez continued his winning ways from last week and won the race in 21:32. He was followed by Byron Chadwick (4th, 21:52) who had a great bounce back after a down race last week. Lucas Reeves (10th, 22:06) was the 3rd Beaver in the Top 10 of the race. Gavin Vance (11th, 22:18) and Cody Foxworthy (13th, 22:29) completed the scoring members for the ARC men. Billy Groth (20th, 22:45) and Pedro Tirado (21st, 22:47) closed out the top 7 today. 

"We had some very good performances today! Came in wanting to see the course and see where we matchup against Hartnell." Coach Seawell said. "Hartnell has been our main rival in the North for the past decade, so not surprised to have them being strong again. We have a few things to work on and clean up, but we definitely have a shot at the NorCal title if we can put it all together in November!"
