Beaver's Lose First Game to Cabrillo 3-5

Cabrillo College Seahawks got on the board in the first inning after Abre Alba singled, scoring one run. ARC Beavers took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Elizabeth Poppick singled, and ARC Beavers scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run. Aaliyah Gomez singled, which helped Cabrillo College Seahawks tie the game at two in the top of the second.
In the top of the fourth, Cabrillo College Seahawks broke up the tie when Kasydi Bennett doubled, scoring two runs. Then a sacrifice fly by Alba followed to extend the lead to 5-2.
Ada Neu earned the win for Cabrillo College Seahawks. The right-handed pitcher surrendered eight hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking one. Breanna Romero took the loss for ARC Beavers. The righty went seven innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits, striking out one and walking four. Poppick led ARC Beavers with three hits in four at bats. Mckenzi Smith collected two hits for ARC Beavers in three at bats. ARC Beavers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Madison Demmon made the most plays with seven.
