Alexa Garcia Drives 4 Runners Home In ARC Beavers Victory Over Monterey Peninsula College

Alexa Garcia drove in four runs on three hits to lead ARC Beavers past Monterey Peninsula College 8-0 on Saturday. Garcia hit a home run to center field in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the fifth inning, scoring one. ARC Beavers were the first to get on the board in the fourth when Breanna Romero grounded out, scoring one run. ARC Beavers scored three runs in the top of the sixth on a home run to center field by Garcia. Romero earned the win for ARC Beavers. They surrendered one hit and zero runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one Calli Turns took the loss for Monterey Peninsula College. The starting pitcher went five and one- striking out two and walking two. third innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits. Elizabeth Poppick, Savannah Hanes, and Rylee Meyer each collected multiple hits for ARC Beavers. Mckenzi Smith paced ARC Beavers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting four walks for the game. Kat Manuofetoa went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Monterey Peninsula College in hits. Monterey Peninsula College turned one double play in the game.
