Four Time Sport Award Honors- Marina Zayarchenko

Having been both a four-time ARC Academic Scholar Athlete, but also a CCCAA State Academic Honors, Marina Zayarchenko has earned a 4.0 GPA on consecutive semesters here at American River College.

In addition, to being voted in by her teammates as captain of both her lady beavers Cross County and Track and Field Squads, she also earned the Four-time sport award.  As a former Rancho Cordova High School student athlete, she competed in consecutive years of both XC, and Track and Field.

An avid leader, and tremendous mentor to her teammates, she also volunteers with her community, in addition to volunteering with her former high school athletic programs. 

"She has been a significant member of our squads.  She continues to lead her classmates toward success through a combination of tremendous time management, and positive attitude.  She is going to be a tremendous asset to any programs she commits to," says Coach Powless.

As a 2023 spring graduate from ARC, she was honored by her coaches at ARC's Oak Café, celebrating her continued successes by continuing at Sacramento State University.
