The American River College Beach Volleyball team closed out an outstanding second year as a program by securing the NorCal Pairs Championship and a Big 8 Conference Coach of the Year honor.

The Beavers, who served as co-host of the 3C2A NorCal Pairs Championships, saw pairs Ella Harm / Kaeli Savorn and Kylie Matthews / Addison DeMarse both qualify for the State Championships.  Moreover, the Kylie Matthews and Addison DeMarse won the 3C2A NorCal Pairs Championships, the first ever NorCal beach volleyball pairs championship in American River College history.

Along with the myriad of accomplishments acheived by our beach volleyball athletes, the Beavers also saw head coach Carson Lowden recognized as the Big 8 Conference Coach of the Year.  Coach Lowden lead the Beavers in the second year as a program to an overall record of 18-7 and an 11-1 conference record and a share of the Big 8 Conference title.  Additionally, under Coach Lowden's leadership the Beavers achieved the highest NorCal playoff seed to date (#3), a Big 8 Conference and NorCal Pairs Championship, have multiple pairs qualify for the State Championships, and saw the first student-athlets from ARC receive opportuniteis to play beach volleyball at the NCAA level (Addison DeMarse - San Jose State University / Ella Harm - Wingate University).
