Alex Gaskin (Jesuit), who played at A.R.C. in 2014 and 15 will head to Cary, North Carolina to play in the Division 2 College World Series with West Region representative Cal Poly Pomona.

For the 3rd consecutive year, the cut line for the playoffs fell just above American River College. Last year three teams from the BIG 8 Conference made the playoffs, with the Beavers finishing 4th and being left out.
Beardsley signs letter of intent with Northern State

American River College sophomore pitcher Kyle Beardsley (Franklin) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Northern State University, a Division 2 program in South Dakota.

American River College finished just short of making the playoffs in 2016, but four of their players were rewarded for their season with berths on the All-Conference 2nd team.
Mike Hatfield ties for state lead in sacrifices

Last season American River had the state leader in triples (Jimmy Lunardelli) and saves (Mike Marlar), and this year Mike Hatfield (Del Campo) finished the season tied for the state lead in sacrifice bunts with 14.
Beavers win last game, playoff hopes to be determined

American River College defeated Modesto JC 4-3 in Modesto on Thursday to complete the series sweep of the Pirates. The win gives the Beavers four wins in the last five games and makes them winners of 5 of the last 7. A.R.C. finishes 5th in the BIG 8 Conference and will need help to get into the playoffs, but there are several scenarios that could play out that would land the Beavers a playoff berth.
Beavers win last home game, take series from Modesto

American River College defeated Modesto JC 11-5 at Beaver Field on Tuesday, winning their final home game of the season. Sophomore Dillon Bowers (Dripping Springs, TX) threw 6 1/3 innings in picking up the win.

American River College finished off the week taking two out of three games with a 4-3 win over Modesto JC on Saturday. With the win, the Beavers improved to 9-8 on the road this season.

Once again a big inning doomed the Beavers to defeat. This time it was a 6 run 4th inning, highlighted by a grand slam by Sac City 1B Tim Hall that did most of the damage.

It wasn’t the best start of the season, nor was it the best game that American River College has played this year, but the Beavers managed to hang around and got a big day from 3B Brayden Gomez (Bella Vista) to upset Sac City 6-5 at Union Stadium on Tuesday.
