The 2016 BIG 8 Conference opener got off to a wet start on Thursday, as the game is suspended in the 4th inning with A.R.C. ahead of top ranked Cosumnes River College 5-2.  Freshman Andrew Wiesenfarth (Rio Americano) has thrown 4 innings, allowing two runs on 4 hits.  A.R.C. has 8 hits through 3 1/3 innings, with 3B Brayden Gomez (Bella Vista) and DH Tyler Swank (Del Campo) each with a pair of hits.  The Beavers scored 4 times in the 2nd inning, thanks to 5 consecutive hits, including RBI's from C Matt Elliott (Oakmont), CF Justin Jordan (Folsom), RF Cade Parker (Yreka) and 2B Robert Contreras (Antelope).
