CAMPBELL, PALUMBO PITCH BEAVERS PAST HAWKS IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE

A day after giving up 25 runs to Cosumnes River, the ARC pitching staff tightened their belts and allowed just three runs while the offense scored a series high nine runs for a 9-3 series and season finale victory. The win puts the Beavers in really good shape for earning a playoff bid. Freshman Eli Campbell (Cordova) threw 6 solid innings, allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 5. The two runs came in the 6th inning on a home run with the Beavers already up 9-0. Freshman RHP Ethan Palumbo (Antelope) came on to throw the final three innings, allowing just one unearned run on no hits while striking out 3. Offensively, LF Jackson Nichols (Valley Christian) led the way with 4 hits, 2 of them doubles and 4 RBI. Sophomore Jonas Dyas (Folsom) had three hits in his final BIG 8 Conference game and sophomore Jayden Reynolds (Bella Vista) and freshman Kaedin Bulock (Yuba City) added 2 hits each.
With the regular season over the Beavers will wait until Sunday to hear whether they earned a playoff bid or not. They entered Friday's game with the #24 RPI spot and should move up with the victory. 24 teams make the playoffs.
