The American River College football program secured their fifth straight National NorCal Conference championship this past weekend with a 45-21 road victory over Santa Rosa Junior College.
After a slow start that saw the Beavers fall behind 7-0 in the first quarter, the Beavers were able to regroup and take control of the game. Kicker Cameron Smith was able to convert field goals from 47 yards, 32 yards, and 21 yards. Running backs Elias Brown, Akil Sohan, and Hakeem Anderson each contributed a rushing touchdown. Quarterback Jett Harris connected with tight end Gavin Correia on a 55 yard touchdown pass, while the special teams unit blocked a punt for a touchdown. Defensively the Beavers were able to force two interceptions and several sacks.
With the win the Beavers are now 4-0 in conference and 6-3 overall. The Beavers will now prepare to host Feather River College at home this Saturday, November 16th, at 1 PM.
