Bio
Originally from Del Campo High School in nearby Fair Oaks, McElroy played offensive line at Minnesota Crookston before transferring to Nevada, where he served the Wolf Pack program as a student assistant and received his bachelor's degree in 2019. He later served as an O-line coach at Natomas High and assisted as a quality control staffer for both offensive and defensive line at American River College prior to his arrival at UC Davis. McElroy served as the Assistant Defensive Line Coach at UC Davis for two seasons before returning back to American River College.
McElroy completed his bachelor's degree in community health sciences at Nevada, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He resides in his hometown of Sacramento.
