The American River College Men's Basketball program began opened the '23-'24 season at the Tony Costello Tip-Off Classic at Las Positas College.
The Beavers impressed the California Community College basketball world going 2-1 in the tournament and advancing to the finals. On day one of the three day tournament, the Beavers would defeat Contra Costa College 79-64. On day two the unranked Beavers would upset #14 Las Positas College convincingly 96-76 and advance to the tournament championship.
In the tournament championship, the Beavers would take on #11 Columbia College. Although the Beavers would battle through the game, ultimately they would run out of gas and fall to Columbia College by a final score of 65-48.
The Beavers will now prepare to host the American River College Classic November 9th through November 10th and will open of the classic against College of the Siskiyous at 7 PM on November 9th.
