Men’s Team Wins Cuesta Invite by over 200 points

The men's team traveled to the coast to the central coast this past weekend to compete against 19 men's team from the state in the Cuesta Invite. The men's team had a solid win scoring 770 points to take 1st, with close to a 200 point spread between 1st and 2nd place. The men's team won all 5 relays to give them a healthy lead. Sophomore Cayden Pitzer set the pace with 4 individual wins in the 50 Free, 21.02, 50 Back 22.86, 50 Breast 26.21 and 100 Breast 55.17 and a 2nd place finish in the 200 Breast in 2:08.50. Freshman Davyd Tsypan helped build the lead with 3 individual wins in the 100 Free, 46.35, the 200 Back in 1:52.04 and 100 Fly in 50.14. Fellow freshman team mate Justin Hseieh contributed to the point total with a 2nd place finish in the 100 IM in 53.69 and 2 third place finishes in the 100 Free 47.84, and 200 IM 2:03.43. The sophomore pair of John Branson and Gar Long also contributed to the score with a 2nd place finish for Branson in the 50 Fly, 23.78 and Long's 500 Free in 5:00.08. This week the team travels to Pleasant Hill for the Big 8 Invite.
