In the Norcal playoff team semifinals the Beavers faced off against the Chabot Gladiators. In a previous matchup the Gladiators had pushed the Beavers before falling to ARC 7-2. In this matchup the Beavers came out with a spark of team energy as they swept the doubles, led by #1 Seppi Capaul/Alex Meliuk's 8-1 win against NorCal #6 Prycen Haas/Jensen Pawid. At #3 TJ Aukland/Justin Barton also played inspired tennis and won convincingly, 8-2. Going in to the singles up 3-0, ARC needed only two matches to secure the victory. Those victories were earned by Capaul (#3) 6-1, 6-3, and Aukland (#6) 6-2, 6-2. With the win, the Beavers will face the Foothill Owls in the NorCal team final on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00p. The Beavers are the #1 seed so they will host the Owls in what should be a tremendously competitive and exciting matchup.
