Beavers Reach NorCal Semifinal by Beating Fresno City 5-0

For the 11th consecutive season, the ARC Men's tennis team has reached at least the NorCal championship match in the CCCAA team postseason. They hosted the Fresno City Rams in the NorCal semifinal, and were able to defeat the tough and competitive #3 seed in a 5-0 shutout. The tone was set in the doubles, with each team settling in to a very high level, and winning by the scores of 8-1 (#1), 8-3 (#2), and 8-1 (#3). In the singles Enrique Silveira (#1) and Tarang Sharma (#4) raced out to fast finishes, winning their matches by the score of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-0 respectively. The two victories clinched the dual-team match, and the Beavers earned their berth into the NorCal championship. ARC will host perennial rival, the Foothill College Owls, for the NorCal title at 1:00p on Saturday, April 19th. The Beavers will be seeking their fourth consecutive NorCal championship, and the seventh in eight seasons.
