The American River College Men's Water Polo program wrapped up their season at the 3C2A State Championships this past weekend.
One of 8 teams in the state to make it to the state championships, the Beavers would fall to Long Beach City College, the #2 seed from Southern California, 16-6 in the opening round. Freshman Caden Rutan led the Beavers with three goals.
The loss brought the Beavers season to an end, but this season was one to be remembered. After going winless in 2022, second-year head coach Zac Koerner led the Beavers to an overall record of 17-9, a Big 8 Conference Championship, a 3rd Place finish in the NorCal Championships, and a spot in the 3C2A Championships.
