The American River College Men's Water Polo program secured their second consecutive Big 8 Conference championship over the weekend.
The Beavers opened the Big 8 Tournament as the #1 seed after going undeafeated in regular season conference play. That Thursday the Beavers defeated Diablo Valley College in the semi-finals by a final score of 18-4.
With the win the Beavers would advance to the championship match on Saturday against their conference rival Sierra College. The Beavers would defeat Sierra, 11-5, behind a strong second half.
The Beavers will now enter the NorCal Championship on Saturday, November 15th and 16th, as the #2 seed and will play the winner fo the Sierra/San Joaquin Delta match in the semifinals.
