FOLSOM - The ARC Men's Cross Country team kicked off the season in the heat at th Big 8 Preview at Folsom Lake College. The Beavers placed 5 runners in the Top-15 in the race for a 2nd place team finish. 

They were led by sophomore Pedro Tirado who finished in 3rd in a time of 23:03 for the 4 mile course. He was followed by Freshman Ethan Vahle (8th, 23:44), Freshman Aidan Ransford (11th, 24:00), Freshman Nathan Diaz (13th, 24:26), and Sophomore Gabe Plummer (15th, 24:35) to round out the scoring members of the team. 

"Today was a good start to the season and to get some racing expeirence for these guys. Some of them have never raced 4 miles before, so this was a good way for them to experience that." Coach Seawell said. "They came out and ran well, especailly in the heat, and its a good sign of things to come for the season." 

The Beavers sat out some runners projected to be scoring members, for training purposes, but will be at full strength for next weekends race.
