Softball Advances to Super Regionals After Defeating San Jose City College

The recently crowned Big 8 Conference co-champions, American River College Beavers, advanced to the 3C2A Super Regionals after defeating San Jose City College 7-0 and 6-3 on the road.
The Beavers who were seeded #12 opened the playoff series impressively with a dominant 7-0 victory on Friday, May 2nd. Felesha LePenske pitched a shutout, only allow three hits through seven innings, while Addiosn Susag added a run and two RBIs.
In game two the Beavers battled back from being down 2-0 to the #5 seeded San Jose City College Jaguars with an impressive third, fourth, and seventh inning. Kaylah Adams led the charge with two hits and three RBIs.
The Beavers will now prepare to travel to play #4 seeded Yuba College on Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th, with the winner advance to the 3C2A State Championships.
