Bio

Raye Maero has been the head women’s golf coach at American River College since 2010. She started as a full-time faculty member at American River College in 1996. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Davis in 1979 and earned a single-subject physical education teaching credential from California State University, Sacramento in 1984. While teaching and coaching at the high school level, Raye earned her Master of Arts degree in Adapted Physical Education from California State University, Long Beach in 1992.

As the head women’s golf coach, Raye works tirelessly to develop golfers into competitors and lead dedicated student-athletes to the next level of education. As a full-time faculty member at the college, Raye is available for her athletes on a regular basis. She is passionate about athletics and education with a strong desire to develop teams that promote integrity, leadership and confidence in their members.
