The American River College Women's Soccer team continued to build upon their momentum by defeating Cerritos College 2-1 at home.

After both teams held each other scoreless in the first half, the Beavers opened the second half with a goal from Isabel Amador in the 51st minute to take the 1-0 lead.  Ligaya Cheeseman would provide a great assist to Kyah Pickett in the 54th minute to extend the Beavers lead to 2-0.

However, Cerritos would respond in the 56th minute with a goal to cut the Beavers lead down to 2-1.  Goalie Natalie Reid would step up big for the Beavers the remainder of the game.  Keeping Cerritos from scoring on multiple opportunites down the stretch.  Natalie Reid would end the game with 9 saves.

With the win the Beavers improve to 1-1-1 on the 2024 season and will prepare to host Feather River College at 4 PM on Tuesday, September 3rd.
