The American River College track and field team began their season at the Jim Linthicum Invite at DeAnza College on Friday and Saturday, February 9 and 10.  The meet is named after a former COA Hall of Fame DeAnza coach. 

Alanna Laverty claimed the victory in the 1500m in a field of 20 competitors.  This was Laverty’s debut 1500m performance. 

Jasmine Isidoro finished second overall in the 400m with a time of 1:03.52.   

The remaining team points were scored by the 4 x 400 team consisting of Alanna Laverty, Jayde King, Mary Nolan, and Jasmine Isidoro.   

Personal bests were delivered by Jayde King (1500m in 5:33.09), and Rachel Lee (100m in 13.95)
