Volleyball Takes 3rd Place in the Delta Classic After Going 3-1 in the Tournament

The American River College Volleyball program closed out the annual Delta Classic, at San Joaquin Delta College, in 3rd place after going 3-1 in the tournament.
Four of the Beavers three matches were against top 25 opponents. On day one the Beavers would defeat Butte College 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, and 25-14) before defeating #14 College of San Mateo, 3-2, in a thrilling 5 set match (24-26, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-12).
On day two the Beavers would fall to #2 San Joaquin Delta College 3-1 (25-19, 25-16, 24-26, 25-14), but would bounce back to defeat #7 Fresno City College 3-2 in another exciting 5 set match (17-25, 25-23, 28-26, 18-25, 15-11).
After the tournament, the Beavers record improves to 8-1 on the season. The Beavers will get a short break before hosting Hartnell College and Lassen College on Friday, September 13th, at 12 PM and 4 PM respectively.
