In a battle between the #1 and #2 women's volleyball programs in the state of California, the American River College Beavers dropped a thrilling match to San Joaquin Delta College 3-1.

After dropping the first set to Delta 25-18, the Bevers responded by taking set two 25-18.  Set three was a back and forth match that the Beavers dropped 25-23.  In set four, the Beavers would lead throughout the majority of the match but could not close out on several set points to tie the match.  Delta ultimately managaed to come back and take the set 28-26 and leave with the 3-1 victory.

With the loss the Beavers drop to 12-2 on the season and 2-1 in conference.  The Beavers will be back in action on Friday, September 27th, at 6 PM as they host Cosumens River College.
