American River Men's Tennis Clay Court Fundraiser

After an intense state championship match against Irvine Valley College, the Beavers celebrated the terrific season at the annual 2016 CCCAA/ITA State Banquet. The banquet is a time to reflect on the finalized team season and a kick-off to the individual championships that begin the following day in Ojai.

Men’s Tennis Falls Short in State Championship Match Against Irvine Valley; Finishes Their Most Successful Season in 50 Years
American River Men’s Tennis Wins Northern California Team Championship

For the first time in fifty years, the American River College men’s tennis team won the Northern California team championship. The program had been knocking on the door in recent years, finishing second in NorCal the last three seasons, but this time they were able to break through for the title.

In the Norcal playoff team semifinals the Beavers faced off against the Chabot Gladiators. In a previous matchup the Gladiators had pushed the Beavers before falling to ARC 7-2.
ARC Men's Tennis Wins Fifth Straight Big 8 North Conference Title

With an undefeated 10-0 season, the ARC Men's Tennis Team won the Big 8 North Conference Championship for the fifth consecutive year.

For the second straight year, ARC Men’s Tennis had five team members chosen for the Big 8 North All-Conference teams. The All-Conference teams represent the best players in the six-team conference, considering both singles and doubles play.
ARC Men's Tennis Team Advances to Norcal Semifinal

In their first round playoff match, the #1 seeded Beavers shutout the #7 seeded Pirates from Modesto. After a flat start in the doubles, the Beavers finished well in all three doubles matches and took that momentum in to the singles.

The Beavers traveled to Pleasant Hill to take on the Big 8 North second place team Diablo Valley Vikings. It was the Beaver’s best team performance of the season.

Beavers win over Gladiators

The Beavers traveled to Chabot to face off against the playoff-bound Gladiators. TJ Aukland and Dylan King played inspired tennis at the #3 doubles position, earning the 8-2 victory.

The Beavers clinched at least a share of the conference title by beating the Shasta Knights 9-0. TJ Aukland stepped in to the #1 position and beat Alexis Lira 6-4, 6-3.
