ARC Women Place 7th in the California Community College State Track and Field Championships
May 14, 2015
Jenica Dodge was the First Place American finisher in the women’s 10K Finals at the CCCAA Track and Field Championships held in San Mateo on May 14, 2015. She finished 2nd overall (behind Sequoias foreigner) with her personal best at 37:11, which is the 6th best mark in the nation and second on the ARC All Time Best Marks.
Lady Beavers Win the 2015 Northern California Championships

Freshman Jenica Dodge led the lady beavers to their Nor. Cal. championships hosted at American River College on May 8, 2015. The ladies battled the 25 teams that qualified by collectively put it together for the title.Dodge earned the most points, as the most valuable ARC track athlete, by putting in 18 points.

Mackenzie Theiler led the lady beavers to their most recent victory at their Big 8 Conference Championships hosted at Merritt Community College in Oakland, Ca.

Shelby Crider set a new meet record at the Mt. Sac. Relays on April 11, 2015. Her javelin mark of 40.65m (over 139’), was also good enough for second best in the state and second best on ARC’s history best ten list.
Northern California Community College Heptathlon

Freshman Track and Field athlete, Mackenzie Theiler just won the Northern California Community College heptathlon in San Mateo on April 15th. This gives her the second best mark in the state and third best mark in the nation.
ARC competes well at USF and Stanford

Freshman Jenica Dodge hit her third State “A” qualification mark at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on Fri. April 3rd. Dodge went 37:35 in her first ever 10K while smashing the 40:08 State Qualification mark. Her time gave her the top time in the state and placed her second on the ARC All time record statistics.
Lady Beavers perform well at the ARC Invitational

Jocelyn Stillwell led her squad to some great performances at the ARC Track and Field Invitational held at American River on March 27-28. The sophomore ran her first 3k Steeple, hitting the State Qualification mark, in route to winning the event in 12:00.92. Stillwell’s mark is currently the third best mark in the state and places her in the ninth best mark in her school’s history. She later came back for the “brutal double” and ended up sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:10.34.

Kandace Compton, last week’s Big 8 Conference Athlete of the week, hit another state “A” qualification mark today in the ladies 4X400 at the Hornet Invitational hosted by Sacramento State University.

Jenica Dodge won her first ever 5K event in track and field at the 28th Annual Beaver Relays on Sat. March 7th. She not only qualified for the State “A” standard, she also holds the current best mark in the state.

American River College Women’s Track and Field outperformed their competition at the Pete Giiachetti Invite. Two state standards were hit today, by the lady beavers, in both the 4X100 and the women’s javelin.

Women's Cross Country as well as Women's Track & Field teams had a one hundred percent transfer and graduation for 2014 athletes!
