It was a rare day when the Beavers pitching staff struggled on Tuesday as they spotted Modesto JC 9 runs on 9 walks in the first three innings.  The Beavers fell 12-0, failing to score a run for the fourth time this season.  Overall the Beavers pitchers walked 16 on the day, but they did strike out 11.  Offensively they managed 7 hits but three of them were from sophomore LF Ray Henry (Colfax, pictured).  The Beavers struck out 14 times on the day.  The two teams will pick up the series on Thursday at Beaver Field at 2:30 p.m.
