Season 5 in 2022, the secondary was led by sophomore Tochi Nnoruka who received a scholarship to Alabama A&M.

Before ARC, Battle spent 7 years coaching high school football with Sacramento High School as the defensive backs coach from 2010-2012 then moving to Natomas High School where he spent 1 year as the defensive backs coach, then took over the program as the Head Coach for 4 years from 2013-2016. As Head Coach at Natomas High, he entered his first season going 0-10. Battle quickly changed the program around the next year by going 6-5 with a playoff loss, the following next two seasons going 5-5.
