Men's Cross Country Fresno Invitational

Fresno Invitational – Woodward Park

The American River men's cross country team suffered its' first loss to a Northern California community college since November 2009 last Saturday at the Fresno Invitational. The Beavers, plagued by sickness and injury, were not up to the competition on the sandy, dusty 4 mile course. The race was basically a preview of the state championships (minus a few teams) in November. The Beavers (94) took 4th overall to MtSAC (44), Hartnell (64) and Glendale (64). The top runner for ARC was Ozzie Hassen (5th – 21:12), second was Conor Wells (9th – 21:26), third was Christian Woolfolk (21st – 21:51), fourth was Ross Walker (29th – 22:06), and fifth was Casey Aguirre (40th – 22:19). The Beavers will look to rebound at the Lou Vasquez Invitational this Thursday after bypassing the SoCal Preview for the first time in years last weekend to train.
