American River Softball beat Sacramento City 5-1 on Saturday. The Beavers started things off in the first inning when Sam Anderson singled on a 3-1 count to drive in Ciera Pyle. Cassie Ralston was the winning pitcher, she surrendered one run over seven innings, striking out one and walking one. Sam Anderson launched a 2-run home run in the third inning.

American River had multiple hits from: Ciera Pyle, Jenna Bartholdi, Sam Anderson and Kirsten Cox.
Game #2 went to Sacramento City 7-1.
