ARC Sweeps Big 8 Conference Championships with both Women?s and Men?s Track and Field

Andrea Stark earned Big 8 Athlete of the Meet, while scoring her 37.5 points.  She won both the hurdle events, 100H (14.36) and 400H (1:11.28).  Stark was 2nd in the high Jump (1.40m), 3rd in the 100m (12.38), 8th in the 200m (26.65).

She was also on both relay teams finishing second in the 4X100 (48.53) and third in the 4X400 (4:10.24) with teammates Meaghan Rogers, Canada Collins and Tajanell Strawder.

Haven Lambrite was the second best in points scoring 36.  Lambrite won both the 10K (41.53) and the 5k (19:32.10).  She was also 2nd in the 1500m (5:05.44) and second in the 400H (1:13.70).

Meaghan Rogers earned 29.5 points for the beavers by winning the 200m (25.78), and second in both the 100m (12.14) and the long jump (5.21m).  She was also on both scoring relay teams.

Sierra Sheppard added 22 points with her Discus title (41.52), and 3rd in both the Shot (11.29m) and the Hammer (40.49).

Erika Nordman and Jocelyn Brelsford both scored 18 points each toward the team title.

Nordman won the Hammer (46.26m) and was also 2nd in the Discus (38.22).

Brelsford was 2nd in the 10K (42:17), 4th in the 1500m (5:16.82), 4th in the 5k (19:47.24).

Tajanell Strawder contributed 17.5 points with both relays and 2nd in the 200 (25.98), and 3rd in the 400 (59.11).

The lady beavers had 29 All Conference Titles en route to earning their Big 8 Conference Title.

Next up for the ladies is the Northern California Championships Trials (May 4th) and Finals (May 11) hosted at Sacramento City College.
