Sophomore student athlete Erika Nordman has signed her letter of intent to the University of California Davis.
A former Rio Americano High School Student athlete, she played soccer throughout her pre and high school years.
In her senior year, she tried track and field, and took every quickly to the throws.
Now, in just the start of her second season at American River College, she holds the 2nd best mark in the state for California Community Colleges.
Her impressive marks of 47.07m in the hammer, and 36.90m in the disc are only overshadowed by her scholar athlete status.
Erika has earned ARC Academic Honors, in addition to State Academic honors with her 4.0 GPA every semester.
"Erika has been a tremendous inspiration and leader to her teammates. She will be greatly missed, yet cheered on in her next step at UCDavis", says Coach Powless.
