2019 American River College Women’s Track and Field Team Wins Conference Championships

Haven Lambrite led her American River College Track and Field Team to victory in their Big 8 Conference on April 22nd, at Diablo Valley College. Lambrite earned the Team's Most Valuable Runner by scoring a whopping 30 points. She won both the 10K (41:43), and the 3K (12:20). She was also runner up in both the 1500 (5:10), and the 5K (18:55), in addition to racing the 4X400 relay leg (6th place).
"She raced the 3k steeple and came back to race the 1500 meters with less than 30 minutes between events. I tried to convince her not to race the 1500, with so short a recovery, but she wanted to do it for her team" said Coach Powless.
ARC's Most Valuable Field Athlete was earned by Bailey Learned. She scored an impressive 20 points from four different field events. Learned finished second in the Javelin (33.96m.), 3rd in the Discus (37.04), 6th in the Hammer (37.59), and 6th in the Shot (10.59m).
Ali Dewolfe scored 16 points from four events including the 2nd in the 10K, 4th in the 3K steeple, 7th in the 400 hurdles, and 6th on the 4X400.
Ruby'Ann Gregory added 14 points and was runner up in both the 400 (56.99), 200 (25.26), and also 3rd in the High Jump.
Manda Nguyen-Sanh (12.75 points) was 2nd in the Long Jump, and 4th in the Triple Jump, and 6th in the 4X400.
Erika Nordman earned 10 points, while broking her own school record, in route to winning the Hammer (50.58m).
Emily Dewolfe brought in 9 points to her team by earning, All Conference (which is top three), 3rd in the 10K, 6th in the 3k Steeple.
Jaelyn Lockhart (8.75 points) was 2nd in the Triple Jump (10.64m), in addition to the 4X400.

Marianna Coomes (7 points) was 4th in the 10K, 7th in the 3k steeple.
Coleen Francis (6 points) 5th in Javelin, and 7th in the High Jump.
Al Feickert (5 points) was 4th in the Pole Vault.
Abigail Scott (3 points) was 7th in the Hammer, and 8th in the Javelin.

Collectively, the team put together 13 All Conference Awards (see above). Next up for the lady Beaver will be Nor. Cal. Trials on May 4th, Nor. Cal. Finals on May 10, and State Meet Championships on May 17-18, in San Mateo, CA.
