Despite the rainy and windy conditions, the American River College Women's Track and Field squad battled through to an impressive seventh place team finish, in the 2019 California Community College State Meet Championships.

With a small but powerful group, of just four beaver qualifiers, sophomore Haven Lambrite, once again led her squad by winning the 3K Steeple (11:22). Not only did she win it, she crushed the field, by nearly half a minute over her second place rival. As if that weren't enough, she doubled back and ran a personal best in the 5K (18:14), which placed her fifth. Lambrite's marks place her in the ARC Top 10 All Time List, with 2nd in the 3K Steeple, and 4th in the 5K. She improved by nearly a minute in her 10K, 1:25 in the 5k, and sliced a remarkable 38 seconds off her 3k steeple mark from last year. Lambrite has accepted her scholarship to attend University of Idaho for next fall.

Ruby'ann Gregory also earned All American Status, in the 400m., finishing third in 57.18. She also scored points in the 200m by finishing 7th in 25.79.

Erika Nordman also scored in two events, earning All American Status in the women's hammer. Nordman finished 4th with 46.61m/152'11". She also added a 5th place in the discus with her 34.19m/112'2". In addition to being our current ARC School Record holder (50.58m) in the hammer, she is also 4th in the discus ARC All Time Performance List. Nordman improved by 3.07m in the discus, and 3.65m in the hammer over last year's marks. She has accepted her scholarship to UC Davis for next fall.

Bailey Learned added to the teams mix with her personal best, and seventh place, javelin (34.42m/112'11").
