ARC alum - and current volunteer assistant coach for the Beavers - Emily Dzubak is one of only 14 individuals selected by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) to attend the organization's upcoming annual convention. Dzubak was selected by the AVCA based upon her academics, contributions to the sport of volleyball on and off the court, and more. At ARC Dzubak was a two-time First-Team Big 8 Conference and was named All-Northern California as a sophomore. She then went on to excel at Fresno State. After graduation, she began serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the Beavers!

Here's an excerpt from the original article:

"A former two year college (American River) and NCAA Division I (Fresno State) volleyball player, Dzubak has the resume many players can relate to. She put in the work to be the best possible volleyball player and is doing that now on the coaching side.

"Everything she is, and has accomplished so far, she has gone out and earned; nothing has been given. Her voice is one we want in this game, and given this opportunity, she will maximize it, and she will shine for many years to come," said American River College Head Coach Carson Lowden."
