The lady beavers captured the overall title in the Crystal Springs Invitational ahead of Southern California Team Cuesta for second.

With nine beavers competing we had six personal bests including two with over thirty seconds in Jocelyn Schmidt and Zoe Worobel.  Great improvements are coming, even though we are still working hard and training through these early season competitions", says Coach Powless.

Alexa Lua led her squad by finishing 2nd overall in 19:17 followed by Kandace Compton in 3rd at 19:21.  Zoe Worobel was 10th in 20:17, Natalie Berania was 19th in 20:39, Jocelyn Schmidt was 15th in 20:48, Iuliia Lytvynova finished 27th in 21:21, Kyrah Vaughn 29th in 21:23, Tara Christopherson 30th in 21:25 and Miranda Marshall was 46th in 22:35.

Next up for the lady beavers is their home meet at Folsom Lake (Beal's Point) on Sat. 10/5.  Ladies start at 10:30 with the men following at 11:30.  Go Beavers!!!
