With 25 colleges and 200 competitors in the ladies 3 mile race at the prestigious Mt. Sac. Invitational, the lady beavers pull off a 7th place overall team finish.  Currently ranked number one from Northern California, they added another first place finish from the North in route to the 5th best from California.
Freshman leader, Kandace Compton was 18th in 19:43, followed the Alex Lua's 22nd place finish (19:52), and Natalie Berania 32nd (20:18).  Next were Jocelyn Schmidt (21:20) and Tara Christopherson (21:40).  Rounding out the top seven were Miranda Marshall (22:13) and Zoe Worobel (22:35).
"It was a solid performance for the lady beavers with 2 ladies not competing.  It's going to be exciting to see our whole team together for our Big 8 Conference Championships on Oct 31st.  Come out and cheer us on in Modesto on Halloween", says Coach Powless.
