Lady Beavers Finish 3rd in the 2013 CCCCCTCA Northern California Championships

Congratulations to Alexa Lua and Kandace Compton who both earned All Nor. Cal. Honors in route to posting their cross country lifetime best marks over the three mile hilly Beal's Point, Folsom Lake course on Sat. 11/9/13.

Alexa Lua finished 4th in 18:50 and Kandace Compton (who was most improved by slicing :20) also earned All Nor. Cal. (second team) with her 12th place finish in 19:01.

Team captain, Natalie Berania also set a lifetime best with her 19th finish in 19:30.  Also hitting her personal best (by cutting off :17) was Tara Christopherson who finished 40th in 20:22.

Rounding out the top seven were Kyrah Vaughn 20:37 and Miranda Marshall in 21:44.

The Beavers tied for 2nd place, behind Modesto, with Santa Rosa but ended up third after the new tiebreaker rule was put into effect this season.  "It was the best performance we have had all season as a team, even though we were still missing two of our top ladies.  It was great to see their combined time of 1:37:50 and watch them advance to the CCCCCTCA State Meet Championships on 11/23 in Fresno," says Coach Powless.
